In our Cattle Section we have over 30 classes catering for Shorthorn, Belgian Blues, Limousin, Charolais and Hereford Commercial and Pedigree Cattle with prize money increased this year to €260 per class. We also have the Breeders Choice Traditional 4 or 5 star Breeding Heifer sponsored by the Department of Agriculture.

The highlight of our cattle section is our Young Handler Class for Boys and Girls over 10 Years and under 17 years on the date of the Show with a prize fund of €1500.00 very kindly sponsored by Greensource. We also have a qualifer for the FBD and Farmers Journal Intermediate Young Handler Championship 13 to 17 year olds,  Final at Tullow Show on the 18th August 2024 with a prize fund of €2000.00 approx.

We have our usual Sheep Classes with the Champion Sheep of the Show winning the Flan Casey Perpetual Cup.
